CDC Rescinds Testing Requirements to Re-enter the United States

Effective June 12, 2022, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is not requiring persons to show a negative COVID-19 test result or documentation of recovery before boarding a flight into the United States. This is exciting news for air travel overseas!

Due to the widespread use of effective COVID-19 vaccinations and infection-induced immunity at the population level in the United States, the CDC is shifting away from stricter regulations.

The CDC, however, continues to recommend travelers that are boarding a flight into the U.S. to get tested for current infections with a viral test as close to the time of departure as possible and not travel if they are feeling ill.
